This was a most memorable pilgrimage. I am so thankful that I was able to attend the Episcopal Consecrations with my family. It was a beautiful and blessed event. Everything was well organized and planned. It was nice to see Christina again as the tour group leader and all the fellow pilgrims were respectful and enjoyable to be around.
The accommodations were fine, though I do wish the hotel selected in Martigny had air conditioning, which I understand is not the norm in Switzerland, but perhaps for future pilgrimages in the summer months to this area, finding a hotel that has air conditioning would be a huge plus. The Hotel Borsari was a decent hotel, but it was very minimalist and it's open bathrooms were not conducive to modesty. Also, outside of the first dinner, the other dinners were not very good at the hotel, especially the farewell dinner meal. It felt like an afterthought; as if the hotel was not ready for such a large group and just put something together - some protein and undressed lettuce LITERALLY thrown onto a plate. It was pretty sad. The previous pilgrimage I took with Regina was excellent in every way, and the meals very satisfying. I'd like to believe this was an issue with the hotel and not Regina Pilgrimage's selection.
I hope to travel with Regina Pilgrimages again in the future!
